Nechako Housing Commons on UBC’s Beautiful Okanagan Campus is in the Home Stretch

We’re in the home stretch on the Nechako Housing Commons—an important new facility and urban landmark on UBC’s beautiful Okanagan campus. The building has been imagined as a simple four-storey linear residential bar perched above the dynamic form of two levels of public space. The facility brings together living space with learning space, including study spaces, retail and recreation spaces, social spaces and administrative spaces for UBC Okanagan’s Student Housing & Hospitality Services (SHHS) staff. The design is centered on the University’s mandate for LEED V4 Gold construction as well as UBC’s aggressive internal sustainability standards. Project in Association with Sahuri + Associates, Kelowna (Local Architect of Record).
