Grande Prairie's, Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, is finally set to officially break ground as early as April of the coming new year, with the project going to tender in January. The project, which was at a standstill due to expected funding from the federal government falling through, has since regained momentum with combined efforts from the City and County of Grande Prairie, community members, the province and an online campaign (indiegogo), who have collectively raised enough funds to enable the project to proceed to tendering in the coming months. Beyond this however, there is still another $7 million to be raised.
To learn more about the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, check out the recently published articles about the project in the Montreal Gazette, Edmonton Journal, CBC News, and the Daily Herald Tribune.
